Bi+ Ireland Logo done in bi flag colours of pink purple and blue
Bi+ Ireland is a social and community space for bi+ people based in, from, or closely connected to Ireland. The bi+ umbrella is inclusive of all non-monosexual orientations including, but not limited to, bisexual, biromantic, pansexual, panromantic, and non-monosexual queer people.

Bi+ Ireland aims to create a space where bi+ people can make friends, access peer support and reduce any isolation they may experience. We aim to increase the visibility and presence of bi+ people in Ireland and to create diverse, vibrant and welcoming communities.

Our Volunteer Coordinators

Picture
Aoife FitzGibbon O'Riordan
Aoife founded Bi+ Ireland back in 2013 and, all things considered, she thinks it's one of the best decisions she ever made. These days she's based in Cork and in between modding, organising and representing Bi+ Ireland she spends a lot of time in awe at what we've all created. In her spare time from Bi+ Ireland (!), last year she cofounded a software development company. Then she taught herself to code. Someday she really hopes to catch up on her Netflix.

Picture of Chris Noone
Chris Noone
Chris is a Bi+ coordinator based in Galway. By day, he is a research psychologist at NUI Galway focusing on health behaviour and cardiovascular outcomes but also working on projects related to wellbeing, critical thinking and the LGBT+ community. He has been involved in volunteering for many years and is currently Chair of the Research & Policy Sub-committee of the National LGBT Federation. He still retains hopes of being both a rock star and a Manchester United player.

Picture of Jess Connor
Jess Connor
Jess is a Dublin based Bi who helps run the monlthy events and helps build our website. She's made a career as a project manager and loves using this skillset volunteering with Bi+ Ireland and different pro choice organisations. Jess has a magic freckle.

Cíara Doyle
Cíara is a Dublin Bi who helps Bi Ireland where she can. When not volunteering with Bi Ireland Cíara can be found volunteering with local youth clubs and running a variety of campaigns from mental health to using your vote. Cíara has a wide variety of disguises aka she is a cosplayer.

Picture
Róisín Mooney
Róisín is Dublin based and hosts Bi+ Ireland meet ups there. Ró loves welcoming new members and also endeavors to insert puns into everything Bi+ Ireland does. Outside of Bi+Ireland, Ró does outreach with the Vegan Information Project and has an art practice which revolves around animal rights. You may also spot this one donning terrible sideburns and performing as drag king, Enda Danite.

Picture
Paula Dennan
Paula is a Kerry based feminist, activist, writer, and book reviewer who helps with all things social media and website related. Outside of Bi+ Ireland, her time is spent organising with pro-choice and feminist groups. She is a founding member of Kerry for Choice and the Kerry Feminist Collective. She can usually be found with a book in her hand or spending far too much time on the internet.

Picture
Sharon Nolan
Sharon is a Galway-based Bi+ coordinator, who helps out with organising meetups, modding and speaking on bi+ issues. Outside of Bi+ Ireland - she works in tech, is a member of the Social Democrat's National Executive, is involved with Galway Community Pride, shouts about repealing the 8th and generally doesn't like to sit still. She dreams of one day being Taoiseach, or being as cool Colm O'Gorman.

Picture
Helen Gomez
Helen is Belfast-based and partakes in helping to arrange meet ups, networking with the queer Northern Irish populace and dabbles in graphic design. Is legally trained but secretly wishes they could flee to the woods and facilitate meditation retreats where everyone could talk about their feelings.

Picture
Kyna Delaney
Kyna is a bi+, polyam, disabled, survivor who has made it through life this far and isn't giving up anytime soon. Her main Bi+ Ireland responsibilities include adding new members to our online community, modding and Midlands activities. Kyna's other volunteer work includes fostering kittens for the LSPCA and advocating for sex workers. She can generally be found reading a science fiction novel or spending time with her cats.
