Happy Bi+ Visibility Day!
We produced this video using community submissions mainly surrounding "What would you have liked to know when you were coming out?” As it is Bi+ Visibility Day, we would like to take this moment to say: Thank you to everyone who submitted content for the video. Thank you as always to everyone who supports the Bi+ Community and Bi+ Ireland all year round. Thank you to our volunteers who keep Bi+ Ireland ticking over - a special shout out for Paulie Stanton for editing this video together for us. And a huge thank you to every member of Bi+ Ireland, for making our community the safe, welcoming, enjoyable space it is. #BiVisibilityDay #BiVisDay #BiPride #BiUmbrella

And just like that, it’s September. We don’t know about you, but we can hardly believe it!
As you may or may not know September 23rd marks Bi+ Visibility Day, however, in more recent years, many bi+ organisations and activists have taken to using the entire month of September to spread awareness of bi+ issues and people. Here in Bi+ Ireland, we have a few things planned over the next few weeks both here on our public social media pages and over in our closed community groups. For example we will be sharing some We Exist Stories on our platforms. As per usual, Bi+ Enough cards will be available from our Bi+ Merch corner. We will be hosting two Zoom meetups during the month. The first being casual chats on Saturday 12th September. The second is an open conversation about bi+ topics on Saturday 26th September. Casual Chats http://www.biireland.com/news-and-events/online-bi-ireland-meetup-casual-chats-on-zoom https://www.facebook.com/events/351566669361525 Bi+ Conversations http://www.biireland.com/news-and-events/online-bi-ireland-meetup-bi-conversations-on-zoom https://www.facebook.com/events/329454434924610 Make sure to keep an eye on public accounts for all our latest bi+ visibility updates. https://www.facebook.com/biirelandnetwork https://twitter.com/IRLBi We invite you to join us for an open discussion of bi+ topics. We are still very much in the planning stages, but we will be reaching out to the Bi+ Ireland Community to see what type of topics you would like to talk about.
Whether you have only recently discovered your bi+ ness or you have known you are panromantic for decades, we believe everyone in our community has a voice worthy to be heard. This event will happen slightly earlier in the day compared to our previous Zoom calls to allow for self-care afterwards for those that need it after engaging in potentially heavy topics. For privacy reasons we ask you to fill out this form if you wish to participate. On the day, we will send you an email containing the link and password to join the meetup, if you don’t receive it by midday please pm us. If multiple people from the same household are participating, you could all, of course, join us on the one video call. For the purpose of this event, we will be hosting over Zoom. We will be using a paid version of Zoom so there is end-to-end encryption on the call. A link to the zoom meeting and its password will be sent on the day. You are not required to download Zoom onto any device as you can access the meeting through any web browser. Nor do you have to sign up to zoom. Like always our meet-ups are open to all adults under the Bi+ Umbrella and their friends, partners, carers etc. First time going to a Bi+ Ireland Meetup? Not yet a member of our lovely online community group? Feel free to send us a message and our volunteers can add you to the group and look out for you on the day. Important to Note
Eg: G -Alex, O - Aaron, R - Eliza,
